What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Nathan Bergeron is licensed both as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and an Acupuncturist and Herbalist. These specialties inform his body-mind approach to psychotherapy. Nathan specializes in trauma work and as such is certified in EMDR (attachment focussed EMDR) and in the Trauma Resiliency Model (an embodied approach to discharging traumatic memories and bringing clients back in their resiliency zone). He teaches and uses Voice Dialogue to help his clients ‘give voice’ and integrate disowned psychological material. Nathan is a level 1 trained PACT therapist (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy). While focussed on his clients’ narrative, he constantly monitors the activation— or lack thereof—of their nervous system and the micro-expression of their body. He helps his clients bring awareness to, and decode the needs and meanings of their body language. Nathan is passionate about attachment theory, neurobiology and neuroscience. Nathan resources and empowers his clients so that they can face their challenges, overcome their traumas and ultimately become who they are met to be.
