Dr. Vilkas has been in clinical practice since 1996. He holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Toronto and has completed 3 years post graduate training in Sports Sciences; he is also certified in Active Release Technique & Acupuncture. Dr. Vilkas has worked with Olympic, college, professional and amateur athletes for most of his career. Our philosophy is to help correct the biomechanical problems that our patients are facing. Correcting these includes the use of many techniques including physical therapy, chiropractic and massage. Each treatment will include modalities (laser, heat/cold, ultrasound, and electrotherapy) as well as manual techniques to decrease inflammation, stretch tight muscles, and restore motion to joints. We try to attain maximum results in a short time period, allowing our patients to get back to their normal lives as quickly as possible. We offer safe and effective treatment, focusing on the problem to alleviate the symptoms.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I have over 20 years of experience. I provide a wide range of services including acupuncture, active release technique and other modalities. I use multiple techniques for my treatments to get quick and lasting results.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Soft tissue therapy - Active release technique Acupuncture Physical therapy

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am involved in my community especially within the hockey world. I am a coach (20 years) and trainer. I was part of the core medical team during the PAN AM Games and have been working with athletes throughout my career.

Seemed to know his trade and accomplished what I went there to get done. I think I described my experience in the first sentence.

I had a pulled muscle in my lower back with symptoms of excessive back spasms and could not bend, move, sleep at night. When I went to go see Dr. Vilkas for the first time, I really was not sure what to expect. I actually thought it was going to be a painful experience to get my back fixed. Sure enough after the first visit he was friendly, Profesional, assured me that my back would be back to normal within the week. I had 2 visits with Dr. Vilkas and with all the relaxing techniques to fix my back. I already feel much better.
