Chiropractor, Biomechanical Evaluator Born and raised in South-western Ontario, I attended the University of Waterloo. There I studied kinesiology and economics for three years. I focused my studies in the area of sports medicine, biomechanics and gait analysis. I began my studies at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto in 1990. I graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from CMCC in 1994, and immediately came to Ottawa to work at the Gloucester Centre Chiropractic. I have expanded the clinic services to include not only using chiropractic for pain relief & wellness care, but injury rehabilitation, registered massage therapy, nutritional consulting, classes and supplements as well as orthotics. I believe in a "thirst for life". Living in Ottawa gives me a chance to live that way. Using chiropractic techniques and my knowledge of nutrition and exercise, I enjoy educating patients about their health opportunities. I try to help people to remove barriers, and move them towards their own life's potential. I personally follow this "thirst for life" philosophy by taking on new challenges, meeting them, and then teaching others how to meet them too. My academic and professional career have been enhanced over time with several continuing education seminars including Lumbar spine and pelvis motion palpation Mackenzie Method Extension Protocols Thompson Technique Rehabilitation training X-ray listing and technique Pediatrics: diagnosing and adjusting children and infants Biomechanical Golf Fitness Evaluations Registered "Backsafe" training Patient education and patient management Philosophy and chiropractic education Chiropractic rehabilitation Nutritional analysis I feel it is important to give back to the community so clinic has been involved with many east Ottawa initiatives such as the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard, the Ottawa Snowsuit Fund, Blackburn Hamlet Spring Cleanup, Board of FC Capital United (Ottawa Soccer club), Ottawa International Kids Day, Sponsor of Gloucester Blackhawks & Blackburn Stingers Hockey teams, East Ottawa Back Pack Safety Day, Sponsor & Volunteer of Alive To Strive kidney foundation fundraiser run and other Ottawa community projects. Coaching young soccer players with Capital United in the east Ottawa area I have really enjoyed seeing kids improve not only in their soccer skills but also the confidence they show. If everyone could continue to have the capacity to enjoy play & exercise regularly not only as kids but throughout adulthood I think we would have a much healthier as well as balanced society. I continue to enjoy playing hockey & soccer myself as well as running, biking, rollerblading and recently trying skateboarding with my son. Other interests include canoeing and camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Found Dr Sweazey to be very helpful in addressing my situation and correcting it. I already feel better knowing that we are at the right track of treatment. Have seen Dr Sweazey previous time for different situation which was corrected properly.
