Dr. Kent's unique ability to combine Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and Digestive Health specialties allows him to provide a comprehensive health restoration program for all his patients, who range from infants to geriatric age. He is committed to bringing you better health and a better way of life by teaching and practicing the true principles of chiropractic wellness care. Dr. Kent’s goal is to motivate people to live subluxation free. Subluxations are the interferences in the nerve systems that cause the body to exhaust itself trying to survive the stresses of life. He does this by educating people about their nerve system and spine, so they understand the power of a simple adjustment! The body is self healing and self regulating; it has an innate ability to heal itself if interference within the nervous system is removed. As a chiropractor, that is all he does – lets the body heal itself by removing the interference. Growing up, Chiropractic was always a part of Dr. Kent’s life. His grandfather was a chiropractic physician for almost forty years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Early on, Dr. Kent was inspired to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps, as he was getting adjusted as early as six months old. Dr. Kent recalls, “I remember getting a pass out of school to go to my chiropractor’s office in seventh grade to get adjusted.” Dr. Kent’s special interest in Chinese Medicine began when he was working on the mats towards his black belt in JuJitsu, as several Asian therapies helped him heal naturally from those sports injuries. He began to study Asian body work in college and after graduating from the National College of Chiropractic, he continued his education in acupuncture, Qi-gong, nutrition and enzyme therapy. Dr. Kent Christianson is a graduate of National College of Chiropractic and a life long resident of Du Page County where he has been in practice for 15 years.
