What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
We’ve been delivering quality chiropractic care to Mercer county for over a decade. Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is three-fold: 1. Relief Care (Restore Function) Relief or wellness care… it’s your choice. When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations: Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible Offer ways practice members can participate in their recovery Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care 2. Corrective Care (Improve Health) After you have reached your goal of relief we then have to work on correcting the underlying cause. This is where most of the real improvement occurs. In this phase of your treatment you are not in as much pain. What you feel now is more discomfort. Now is when the muscles, joints, ligaments and nerves really start to heal and improve. 3. Wellness Care (Maintain Wellness) We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model. You’re the Boss Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. You’re the boss! It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want. Sound interesting? What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our judgment and years of experience. Think of an adjustment as “tuning” a piano, adjusting each string so it produces the perfect tone. The primary adjusting techniques we use include: Motion Palpation As you turn and bend we’ll apply a light pressure to the joint being tested with our fingertips to feel how well things are moving. Laser Therapy This high-tech tool produces light in the red portion of the spectrum, which has been shown to assist in the healing of soft tissues Diversified After identifying which spinal bones have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is administered to free up “stuck” joints Cox Flexion-Distraction This non-force approach uses a special table so we can traction your spine, relieving pressure to compressed spinal discs and facet joints. Extremities While many health problems can be traced to the spine, wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees other joints of the body can be helped. Activator Methods® This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.
