Dr. Brian Kerner
Dr. Brian Kerner is the Director and Founder of Kerner Chiropractic Center, which was established in 1993. We are a family practice, providing chiropractic care for adults and children. Since he was young, Dr. Kerner has been interested in the benefits of natural health. Realizing that medicine was “crisis-care” and not truly “health care”, he wanted to pursue a health career that emphasized that natural recuperative powers of the body. Not merely treating or “masking” symptoms but rather treating the “cause” of dis-ease of the body. By helping others naturally, without drugs or surgery, he is able to promote wellness and true health. Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1987, he went on to complete his chiropractic training at the Palmer College of Chiropractic-West. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1991 and later completed an extensive post-graduate course in the care and treatment of sports injuries. As a State Appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) under the Workers' Compensation System, Dr. Kerner has performed numerous disability evaluations. Also, he has cared for professional as well as non-competitive athletes. Dr. Kerner has been an active member of the California Chiropractic Association since 1988 and he has served as Treasurer for the San Francisco Chiropractic Society. He is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association. As an active member of the community, Dr. Kerner has served as President of the Marina Merchants Association. Dr. Brian Kerner specializes in the cause, prevention, and treatment of nerve, muscle and joint conditions. He practices chiropractic care incorporating full body adjustments, extremity adjustments, and therapies. Therapies may include laser treatment, ultrasound, soft tissue mobilization, and muscle stimulation. By utilizing these techniques and providing individual treatment plans, Dr. Kerner has helped thousands of people live pain free. Dr. Kerner also performs ergonomic workspace assessments for various companies and gives lectures and workshops. Some topics include headache prevention, neck/back pain prevention, sports injury prevention and carpal tunnel syndrome prevention. Dr. Kerner is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing tennis, running, bicycling, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
