Dr. Kris Blum graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, salutatorian and summa cum laude. She is a certified provider for Active Release Techniques ® (ART) and the Graston Technique. Dr. Blum treats conditions of the spine as well as conditions that affect the extremities. She accomplishes this by evaluating and treating the joints of the neck, back, arms, and legs, employing the most cutting edge soft tissue treatment, while implementing specific exercises and rehabilitation conditioning. A variety of chiropractic techniques are used to address the spine and extremities, while problems within the soft tissue structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, nerves, etc.) are treated using a combination of a patented movement based massage system, Active Release Techniques ® (ART), and an instrument-assisted soft tissue system called Graston Technique. Dr. Blum treats professional and recreational athletes and regularly volunteers at sporting events in the Bay Area. She was also an ART provider for the 2007 Ironman Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Dr. Blum has a passion for increasing the functional capacity of every patient, whether that person is a professional athlete, weekend warrior, or a working professional. She is ready to help you achieve your goals! Dr. Blum finds that her own participation in running, cycling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, and yoga has increased her understanding of movement, health, and healing in the body.
