Dr. Teddy Kim
Dr. Teddy Kim graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. During his time at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Kim was fortunate to gain experience as an ergonomic consultant where he developed a strong understanding of work place ergonomics and importance of optimal work station positions and postures. This opportunity sparked Dr. Kim’s interest in the human body and in movement science and led him to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Dr. Kim has also successfully completed training in contemporary medical acupuncture through McMaster University, Titleist Performance Institute for golf related injuries and Athletic Movement assessment certification among others. Dr. Kim’s practice is based on patient centred care which is guided by evidence and research. His methods are based around a movement and function driven approach which allows him to not only fix current issues but also empower his patients to prevent future injuries. Each of Dr. Kim’s clients receives individualized care and personalized treatment plans that include a combination of manipulation/mobilization, medical acupuncture, exercise rehabilitation, athletic taping, health education, therapeutic modalities and manual soft tissue therapy such as Myofascial Release Technique (MRT). Dr. Kim has completed additional training in custom orthotics assessment and is able to confidently dispense custom orthotics to his clients when required. Dr. Kim is committed to helping his clients reach their pre-injury state and help them understand their bodies better so that they can move better and prevent injury recurrence. He enjoys treating a wide range of conditions and pain syndromes. For fun, Dr. Kim likes to stay active by playing golf and going to the gym, wrestling and Jiu-jitsu. He also has a passion for motor racing.

What are you proud of in your practice?
-I am proud of my ability to communicate with my patients to understand what their issues are and to achieve therapeutic benefit as quickly as possible -Proud of the vast number of treatment methods/techniques that I can perform to achieve therapeutic goals as efficiently and quickly as possible
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
-As a chiropractor my goal is to be a specialist in treating all types of spinal injuries (Low back pain, neck pain, etc.) - I also enjoy treating extremity injuries from repetitive strain injury or sports related injury as they require more thorough examination and more individualized treatment plan for recovery
