Dr. Darryl Chen has been in practice for over 20 years, specializing in both general and cosmetic dentistry. He grew up in China and moved to Canada at age 16, where he enrolled in high school and first started learning English. Within two years, he graduated from high school and enrolled at the University of British Columbia, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After finishing his doctorate, Dr. Chen carried out a Hospital Dentistry Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is also a graduate of the world-renowned Misch International Implant Institute and the Las Vegas Institute. Dr. Chen currently holds certification for Intervenous Sedation and has performed sedation dentistry for more than 20 years. In order to help patients with complex dental needs, Dr. Chen furthered his education to include Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, Intravenous Conscious Sedation, Implant Prosthesis, Bone Grafting, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, Endodontics, TMJ disorder, and Dentures. Dr. Chen has a deep desire to help patients with all of their needs from standard checkups to oral surgery. He works with the utmost understanding and professionalism. His advanced training and years of experience assure our patients that they are getting the best and most comprehensive dental care in Bellingham area. Dr. Chen lives in Bellingham with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he volunteers his dental skills at Interfaith Community Health Center. He is a devoted husband and father and enjoys spending time with his family outdoors. Water and snow skiing, horseback riding, hiking, and biking are some of his favorite activities. Our Office Manager has been with Dr. Chen for many years and has the compassion, experience, and skills necessary to keep our office running smoothly. Our Dental Assistants, Lab Technicians, and Receptionist are warm, friendly, and understanding of each patient individual needs.
