Dr. Mark Anderko Jr.

Dr. Mark J. Anderko Jr. is happy to return to the Chicago area to continue his dental practice. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis in 2012. Dr. Anderko Jr. joined the United States Navy in 2008, and served as a Lieutenant treating members of the military after graduation from dental school. During his naval dental career, Dr. Anderko Jr. practiced alongside incredible specialists to advance his skills in endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, operative dentistry, periodontics, and oral diagnosis. Dr. Anderko Jr. was honored to serve the dental needs of the Sailors and Marines at Great Lakes Naval Station (North Chicago, Illinois), Marine Corps Air Station and Parris Island Training Command (Beaufort, South Carolina). In 2016, he completed duty with the U.S. Navy, during which he received several commendations and awards from his service and leadership. Dr. Anderko Jr. is grateful for the opportunity the Navy has afforded him to serve our country while continuing to grow as a clinician.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am an honest, experienced, and caring dentist. I started my dental career as an active duty officer in the United States Navy treating fellow servicemen and women and their families. Being stationed around the country at Navy and Marine bases gave me the opportunity to treat complex cases and benefit from an experience that is not available anywhere else. I have extensive training in many different areas of dentistry and am always trying to learn and grow as a dentist. I really love my job.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of the practice my father has built because he has had a successful business that has lasted over 3 decades and has never compromised on his quality of care or compassion that he shows each patient. I work alongside my wife and father, but as far as family goes, some members of our staff have been with us for over 25 years. We are a family oriented practice in every sense of the word and we treat our patients as if they are part of our family. We are very active in our community and feel that it is our obligation to help make this community happier, healthier, and smile more.
