About
Hello! My name is Andy Tran and I’m the dentist and founder of Apex Dental Studio. One of my dreams as a kid was having my own office, so I could practice the way I wanted, treat patients the way they deserve to be treated, and work with people that likes to have fun, grow and give back. Now it's possible! I was born in San Jose, California and moved to Falmouth, Massachusetts as a teenager, which explains my 408 area code. I graduated from undergraduate with summa cum laude honors in psychology, minor in biology, along with being on the neuroscience track. Right after, I completed my Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Tufts School of Dental Medicine, one of the top-ranked dental schools in the world. After spending time in both the west coast and east coast, I decided to set my roots in the suburbs of Austin, Texas.

I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile. The dental assistant thoroughly walk through each procedure that she did. She also made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Andy Tran listened to my concerns and came up with the best dental treatment plan that will best suit me. I highly recommend visiting Apex Dental. I would highly recommend Apex Dental and Becky, Dental Hygienist, was amazing. The office has a great response time when it came to my requests to have a couple options for time slots. I felt very welcomed when I first walked in, super friendly environment, no question was a dumb question. The staff member who was charged with taking my x rays, cleaning, and questions for Dr. Tran was very helpful, relaxed and checked in on how I was doing throughout the treatment. When Dr. Tran joined me to go over what I was hoping to get out of my treatment with his practice, he was very attentive, asked questions to get a better idea of what I wanted or needed. I ask a lot of questions because I like to be as informed as possible and Dr. Tran was more than happy to set up a call time with my ortho and do a follow up meeting with just me to review a couple options for my post ortho treatment. I felt very much so cared for and that this is such a great fit for me. Highly recommend to anyone who is anxious about dental work and needs a warm and helpful team to make them feel at ease. I've never been to a place that had a comfort menu that provides you with a warm blanket, neck pillow, noise canceling headphones, and many more. The Dr was super warm and inviting and he made sure that I knew exactly what was going on and explained anything I had any questions on. The dental hygienist was super nice and made sure to be super gentle around the areas where my gums were tender and they even gave me a warm towel that had peppermint oil in it to clean my face afterwards! Made it feel more like a spa day than a regular dentist office which was really great. One thing I really liked was that there was a screen in front of me in the exam room where I could see everything the assistant and doctor were looking at on their screen behind me. They also had a list of "amenities" I could choose from to make me more comfortable, like a blanket, hot towel or noise cancelling headphones. Dr. Andy was super nice and relatable. I was greeted when I walked in by lots of smiling faces who knew my name :) I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple of years and was a little bit nervous but the hygienist and dentist both made me feel really comfortable. I liked that they didn’t do any scraping of my teeth and used a water pressure type instrument instead. They also have a lot of neat stuff like drinks and video games in the waiting area. There was a TV on the ceiling you can watch during your cleaning too. The place felt very new and modern. All around had a great experience and I get to go back in a couple of days for some fillings!
