Dr. Shin has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry since 2000. He grew up in Lynnwood and Mercer Island and attended Mercer Island High School. He graduated from University of Washington with a bachelor of arts in Zoology and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Shin is committed to continuing education to provide the latest innovative materials and dental techniques. He believes in conservative and preventative dentistry. His practice philosophy is to treat his patients like family. Dr. Shin and his staff are committed to the highest quality dentistry in a gentle and caring environment. Dr. Shin is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington Dental Association, Snohomish County Dental Society, and Alderwood Study Club. Dr. Shin is married to Dr. Nicole Lee who is an orthodontist and has two rambunctious West Highland Terriers. He enjoys playing golf, fly fishing, camping, cooking, and hiking with his dogs.

    I went there for deep cleaning and got to know about 2 minor cavities. The staff and doctor explained me in detail on why should I get them treated now and they generously gave me a lot dental hygiene tips. The staff is great: polite, empathetic and inclusive.

    Dr. Shin was very personable and friendly, and knowledgeable. Jenni, his RDA was a real pleasure to chat with. Honestly, everyone I met was just really nice. The office was clean, well-kept, and in a convenient location.
