Dr. Neil Elman

After graduating with a D.D.S from McGill University in 1993, Dr. Neil Elman completed a one year internship in Special Care Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He worked several years as an associate in Montreal before joining Willow Dental Associates in 1999. A member of the Canadian Dental Association and a certified Aesthetic and Neuromuscular (TMJ) Dentist from The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Dr. Elman continues to expand his skills. He has done extensive training in implants, orthodontics and Sleep Apnea Treatment which compliments all aspects of comprehensive care including full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Elman has a strong passion for dentistry and is always striving to give his patients the utmost care. He is married and has three boys who keep him busy coaching their hockey and baseball teams. When he has a chance Dr.Elman likes to ski, play basketball and enjoy the occasional round of golf.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I have been practicing the art of Dentistry for close to 25 years. I have never stopped expanding my knowledge and advancing my clinical skills in order to provide my patients with the best possible care. I have over 1200 hours worth of continuing education which allows me to stay up to date with advanced procedures so that my patients can receive the most that dentistry has to offer.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Although Willow is a full service dental office I love to focus on TMJ issues, implants and orthodontics. These areas allow me to not only fix teeth but to help restore function and deal with problematic systemic conditions as well.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud that in our practice we treat every patient as if they were part of our family. Patients coming to our office will find a team of hygienists, assistants, doctors, receptionists and coordinators who are passionate about their work and who truly care about their patients' well-being. We have families that span four generations who come to our practice which brings pride to all of us working at Willow Dental.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

For almost 15 years my passion has been to help patients with TMJ problems. To relieve patients from a lifetime of headaches, neck and back pain as well several other debilitating symptoms is something that I never grow tired of experiencing. Sleep apnea is another area which I love being involved in. To hear my patients tell me that they have never slept so well since we started treating them for sleep problems reminds me why I do what I do. I also love placing implants which has given many of our patients a whole new ability to chew and enjoy their food which they had been unable to do for many years.
