Our dedicated dentists and team members have served the area for many years. We will always listen closely to your needs and smile goals, then work one-on-one with you to develop a unique treatment plan to meet your expectations. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. • We have several medical grade HEPA filters that will be cleaning the air in the office throughout the day. • We have installed a UV sterilization light in our heating and cooling system that will be working to clean the air throughout the day. We also have individual units that will be utilized in specifics areas in the office. • We have also purchased additional equipment to aid Dina in reducing the aerosols produced during her cleaning your teeth. • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. • We are going to be utilizing a virtual waiting room. What is a virtual waiting room? We are asking you wait in your car when you arrive to your appointment and call the office to let us know you have arrived. We will then call you to let you know we are ready for your appointment. We ask that only you come to the appointment. If the patient is a child for the visits, we ask only 1 care provider and no siblings attend the appointment. • We will be taking temperatures on each patient prior to entering the office. • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. • You will be asked to rinse with a peroxide mouth wash prior to your appointment. A peroxide mouthwash has been shown to be more effective against Covid-19 over other mouthwashes. • You will also see us wearing robust mask (N95), surgical gowns, hair coverings, and face shields, as recommended by the CDC to keep you and our staff safe during your treatment at this time. • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
