I love to treat patients of all ages and have extensive training in general dentistry. From fillings and crowns, to root canals and extractions, I enjoy working with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans. I am committed to a high standard of care and love to continue my training through lectures and workshops on the latest technology and research. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Seattle King County Dental Society, and attend the Pacific Northwest Dental Convention annually. I am a native New Mexican, but moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington for my undergraduate education. I studied Biology and Spanish at UW and developed a true fondness for the Pacific Northwest. After college, I followed my beau, now husband, to San Francisco and then onward to dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver, CO. I have since returned to my adopted home of the Pacific Northwest to practice dentistry closer to friends and family. While I love to celebrate my New Mexican heritage, Seattle is home and I am here to stay. I am also the new proud parent of a baby girl and love spending time outdoors with my family. I love to travel near and far and can often be found in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe or trying out the many amazing restaurants Seattle has to offer.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I like to take the time to get to know my patients so that I can more effectively treat their needs. I have a soft touch and a patient-centered approach to treatment planning and patient care. I am able to provide a wide range of dental procedures, but also have a great network of specialists I can refer to for collaborative treatment.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I like to treat patients comprehensively which, to be successful, requires that three different categories are addressed: o I will assess the oral tissues including the gums, tongue, throat, lips, etc. to plan and provide treatment if needed. This is often as simple as a routine cleaning, but can sometimes require more in-depth treatment depending upon the patient’s needs. o I will restore teeth to proper form and function with restorative treatments like fillings and crowns. o I stress the importance of the patient’s role in their own dental care with oral hygiene instructions and provide guidance on useful homecare tools.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of the collaborative team approach we have in our practice. We all work together to provide the patient with the best possible patient experience.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treatment planning the more complex cases that might require treatment to be phased and may bring in a specialist or a lab technician. It allows me to be creative in how treatment is carried out and often requires some in-depth problem solving to achieve the best results. I also enjoy more routine procedure like fillings and crowns. These procedures allow me to blend both art and science to provide esthetic, functional restorations.
