What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Our Runnymede office is permanently closed reopening at our NEW Baby Point location @ 387 Jane St in August. This office will be state of the art with 9 ops and a rooftop patio! We encourage all patients to visit us In the interim at one of our other Archer Dental locations We invested a lot of time and energy teaching special skills and training a great team, especially in regards to wheelchair lifts and patient needs within our hospital setting. We do all the work for you, if need be remotely, with relatives or others who have power of attorney. We have specifically designed ‘floating dental chairs’, so that when a patient enters in a wheelchair or bed, we can accommodate this person with a flip of a switch; I can kick that dental chair anywhere I want in that room. The seniors demographic, is the fastest growing portion of our society. The special type of dentistry and oral health care they require is different. This type of dentistry will become more important, more necessary and in greater demand than it is today. We also offer service in a very wide variety of languages, including: -Hindi -Urdu -Punjabi -Farsi -French -Cantonese
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
For the last ten years Dr. Archer has practised mobile dentistry for seniors. She would go to various nursing homes, hospitals, private residences and see patients. After a while she thought, wouldn’t it be a great idea to set up a specific clinic designed for older or special-needs patients that don’t have easy access to proper dental care. Seniors are not as mobile and don’t always have someone to bring them to the dentist. She designed this clinic to make this really easy. For example, each operatory is set up with a wheelchair lift. Perhaps 80% of the patients we see in this clinic have a walker, or wheelchair and can easily be transferred into the dental chair.
