Dr. Andrea Cheung

Dr. Andrea Cheung was born and raised in Vancouver. Her keen sense of adventure has taken her around the world. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in Health and Societies from the University of Pennsylvania, after which she obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Hons.) degree from the University College Cork, Ireland. This enabled her to connect with her Irish heritage! After graduating, she moved to Toronto and is excited to be working at one of the “views” from the six. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys exploring Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her nephew.

l prioritize listening to my patients; I will explain all of your options clearly and give you time to make an informed decision; and I am down-to-earth, attentive, and have a sense of humour.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I provide a broad range of treatments for my patients, but my 3 main focuses are: tooth-coloured fillings, crowns and bridges, and root canal treatments.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Getting to know you as a person is just as important as getting to know your oral health. I emphasize listening to patients’ needs and preferences. Only then, will I devise a treatment plan that is tailored to you. In addition, I pride myself on keeping up to date with the latest developments in dentistry and strive to educate patients based on the latest scientific research. More broadly, I’m proud of our friendly, professional staff and our patient-centered atmosphere.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

My most satisfying cases are those in which I can make the greatest impact on my patients. For example, fixing chips or closing small gaps in the front of your smile, have a big impact on a patient’s self-confidence. Sometimes, it’s the simpler procedures that have the greatest impact. At the same time, I also enjoy treating patients with multiple dental problems. This gives me an opportunity to ensure that different treatments fit well together and leave patients happy.
