Dr. Chris Song

Dr. Song is a board-certified general dentist and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Toronto. Dr. Song was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Society, offered to the top 10% of the graduating class for excellence in scholarship and exemplary traits of character. Dr. Song has developed a passion for oral surgery, and offers both general dentistry and wisdom teeth removal services at BayWell Dental. He is a known for providing exceptional dental care in the kindest manner.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Many dental patients, especially those who have not been to a dentist for a while, may feel intimidated to seek dental care. Finding an honest dentist can be a daunting experience for many as trust is necessary to allow a stranger into one of most private spaces in your body - the mouth. I believe the most important aspects of patient care in dentistry are, undoubtedly, communication and trust. In order to provide excellent dental care, I do my utmost to build rapport with my patients so they feel comfortable enough to disclose their concerns without feeling judged or embarrassed. As their dental care provider, I understand the importance of building relationships instead of merely treating teeth.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Given my broad range of dental treatment experience, I am able to deliver excellent care in all areas of general dentistry from aesthetic bonding (fillings) to crowns and bridges as well as complex dental surgeries such as implants and wisdom teeth extraction. However, in recent years, I have been focusing my practice on wisdom teeth extraction with sedation.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud to treat my patients with kindness and respect, and to provide an individualized and exceptional dental experience! I have found that the most rewarding part of working as a dentist is educating and motivating patients to improve their own oral care on an ongoing basis. I am dedicated to providing the most up-to-date materials and techniques to ensure effective and long-lasting results and thus my patients always benefit from the highest level of care. Given today’s rapidly-improving technology and dental techniques, I always try to update my knowledge in order to provide the best possible dental care.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Many patients have heard horror stories about wisdom teeth extraction so some tend to delay the procedure despite being in pain. I personally enjoy removing wisdom teeth with sedation because I am able to show patients that it can be done painlessly and comfortably and they appreciate this also!
