John Seung-Wu Chung

Dr. John Chung received his education from the University of Toronto (B.Sc) and Boston University (D.M.D). He also attended the Pankey Institute where he received further training in occlusion (the part of dentistry focusing on how your teeth come together to form your bite) and its effects on the TMJ. He has practiced dentistry since 2002 and is a member of several dental organizations such as the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pankey Institute, the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Crown and Bridge Study Club. Dr. Chung is a North York dentist who is driven to be the best at what he does. He feels his strengths are patience, a never-ending commitment to excellence, and an ability to empathize and communicate with his patients. Indeed, his skill and gentle touch are often noted by our patients, who claim he’s the most painless dentist they’ve ever had. Dr. Chung is also great with kids, and is sure to make your youngsters feel relaxed and comfortable with his cheerful attitude and friendly demeanor. Despite his acclaim and qualifications, Dr. Chung is not one to rest on his laurels. He’s always searching to improve his dental practice, whether by attending continuing education lectures and researching innovative treatments and materials or by making sure his practice continues to make the little improvements (like offering early morning or late night appointments) that can make going to the dentist as comfortable and convenient as possible. In his spare time, Dr. Chung enjoys staying active and keeping physically fit by going running, cycling, playing golf, and volleyball. He is also working on his karaoke and dancing abilities, but assures everyone he will definitely be keeping his day job…
