Biography

Amanda Li is a registered dietitian and founder of Wellness Simplified – a nutrition coaching practice that is foodcentric and grounded in empowering individuals to make healthy eating the easier choice. She holds a Masters in Nutrition and a diploma in culinary arts. Her passion in life is to captivate and inspire Canadians to prioritize their health and wellbeing; starting in the kitchen. Since 2014 she has worked in the homes and kitchens of over 50 families from all walks of life, teaching them cooking skills and nutrition fundamentals. She believes profoundly in the connection between how we nourish our bodies and how we feel physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Amanda looks forward to connecting with you!

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Have you ever found yourself thinking, “I want to cook at home more, but it just takes so much time. And what’s the point? When I do try to make something and it doesn’t work out I get even more frustrated and say to myself, this is why I hate cooking.” Or perhaps you went to visit a nutritionist and left feeling overwhelmed because you were told to increase fibre and protein without any guidance as to how it would fit into your current eating habits. It was these common predicaments that encouraged Amanda to establish Wellness Simplified. Her aim was to bring together her dietetic experience and working in a professional kitchen setting to create a nutrition coaching practice that is foodcentric and grounded in teaching individuals food skills to nourish their body, mind and soul.

Interested clients can work with Amanda from the comfort of their own home, via skype or in the Etobicoke site. In-Home Nutrition Consults are offered in Brampton, Georgetown, Mississauga, Milton and Etobicoke.

Amanda’s passion for health and wellness is infectious. She strongly believes in the power of food and how it can go beyond strengthening our bodies physically, but also spiritually, emotionally and mentally. Nutrition coaching programs are tailored based on the client’s level of food skills, food budget, kitchen space, equipment availability, lifestage and health status.
