First off I did the consult and that was good. I booked for an exam because I didnt want to do it all in 1 day. I then had them cancel my appointment closer to the date because the dr wasnt in. Holidays came and was busy. Now its died down I wanted to make an appointment for me and also my bf. Whom i had spoken about, he said he can because of his work schedule do the consult and exam in 1 appointment. I called to make the appointment and was told it was not possible. So my bf cannot become a client then, and I wonder if I should be one also. I wanted us both to have the same doctor...

  • Wasted trip for me...
Reviewed on March 15th, 2016  •  Verified patient
I didn't find Dr.Jacob to be very friendly. He came across as slightly judgemental towards me and my health situation. It was almost like he'd never seen a patient who had severe disabling fatigue before so he was unable to really help me except to offer antidepressants...

  • Finally found a great doctor.

I've been living in Toronto since 2006, and had been struggling to find a good GP in the downtown core. Finally found one with Dr. Jacob. He's personable, professional and friendly. Everything I want with a doctor. I never feel rushed when we visit, and I appreciate the level of care and support he shows.

  • Great first visit
Reviewed on February 12th, 2016  •  Verified patient
I am very pleased with my first visit to Dr. Jacob. I only waited 15-20 minutes to see him, which is quite fast compared to most family doctors I've been to in Toronto. On top of that, he was almost apologetic for making me wait, which was so nice and unheard of to me. He asked some questions to create a medical profile for me, and told me about himself and the clinic quite in depth for a quick visit. He seemed very to the point but also with a good bedside manner and pleasant to interact with. Seems like he has a good sense of humour too. I look forward to being his patient.

  • A+ Dr. Jacob.

A+. Even being behind schedule Dr Jacob took the time to hear my situation in detail and provided much more than I was expecting during our first visit together. He was honest and knowledgeable and at a few moments made me laugh. Looking forward to following up with him again.

Dr. Jacob took quite a bit of time to ask me a lot of questions about my medical history and was really quick to make sure some of my chronic issues were going to get addressed with a new perspective. I really liked his approach!

  • I found my Doctor, Doctor Abraham Jacob!
Reviewed on November 29th, 2015  •  Verified patient
It has been a long time since I felt this comfortable with a Doctor, the appointment was set up quickly and the Corktown Medical Office is convenient to the King Street Streetcar stop at River Ave, DR. Jacob is friendly and listens to you. This clinic is new and modern with many services on the premises, such as blood work and pharmacy, with many more services to come. This was key to me as I have recently had a fairly major health scare and Dr. Jacob is willing to provide a comprehensive plan to improve my health. Thank you Dr. Jacob for taking me as a patient.

  • Genuine & Professional
Reviewed on November 19th, 2015  •  Verified patient
After recently moving to Toronto I was in need of a new family doctor. I'd always been sure I would only accept a new female doctor, as I've always had, and was very discouraged to find their were no female doctors taking new patients in my area. THAT BEING SAID, I gave Dr. Jacob and the Corktown Medical Centre a shot and boy am I glad I did. Not only did he make me feel very comfortable, and seemed genuinely interest in my health, interests, and career. I had no doubt after our first appointment that this was going to be an ongoing positive experience!

  • Amazing Doctors Really Do Exist!
Reviewed on November 14th, 2015  •  Verified patient
Dr. Jacob not only made me feel comfortable in his office yesterday, but he made my terrifying problems not only seem much less scary than I thought, but helped me to manage it all better. Helping to set up a cardiologist and everything else I need in the future is also amazing as well. Every doctor in this world should care about their patients as much as Dr. Jacob does.

Professional and personable. He took the time to explain the vision for his clinic as well as what i can expect from him as my family doctor. I was looking for someone who will be invested in my long-term health and wellbeing and I believe Dr Jacob is an excellent match for me. My first visit was an overall positive experience. The space is clean, bright and warm. And he also has a lovely nurse :)
