Muhammad graduated from York University in 2015 with a Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. He has worked in various clinical settings and has conducted exercise programs for adults and seniors. At Physiomobility, Muhammad works closely with kinesiologists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other healthcare professionals to help patients achieve optimal results and return to their normal abilities. In addition, he has a passion for working with the senior population to help increase their functional ability and quality of life. As an Exercise Therapist, Muhammad designs specific individualized exercise programs for each and every patient. He trains clients one-on-one or in group settings to help them achieve their desired goals. Also, he is always ready to assist individuals in progressing through their stages of recovery for acute and chronic conditions. When Muhammad is not in the clinic, you can find him exercising at the gym and playing soccer with his team.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Patients should choose me as their Exercise Therapist because of my formal education and practical experience working in both clinical and gym settings of different backgrounds that characterize me as a healthcare professional in the field of kinesiology. Firstly, I am dedicated in getting you to feel better about yourself and having you leave as a completely different person than when you first came in. Secondly, not only do I prescribe exercises for your condition but I get to know you as well. By getting to know the patient, their occupation and lifestyle choices, I will have a better understanding of their situation as most cases are multi-factorial, which leads me to strengthen other areas of the body to help the current condition. Thirdly, my goal is to get you to become more active and not passive because exercise is medicine. Finally, through my demonstrated ability to interact with people of different age groups and backgrounds, I am able to provide individualized exercise programs for every patient.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

As an Exercise Therapist, I specialize in: • Balance programs for children, adults and seniors. • General body strengthening and work hardening regimens. • Sports conditioning and soccer training.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of being able to promote the field of kinesiology by making a positive change in the lives of many patients through exercise prescription and education. It makes me extremely happy to see these patients recovering from their injuries and returning to their activities of daily living, occupations and sports with a smile on their face. Also, I am incredibly glad to be part of an inter-disciplinary healthcare team that recognizes and promotes exercise as a crucial part of the patient's rehabilitation and pain management.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating any condition which emphasizes the use of exercise in the treatment plan of the patient. Each patient and case is different from one another which is why I like seeing all types of orthopaedic, vestibular and concussion conditions which helps myself to create exercise programs for everyone. Also, I love working with athletes towards rehabilitation and return to sport due to coming from an athletic background myself.
