Biography

Dr. Saadia Mahmood is passionate about natural medicine. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from McMaster University in 2009. She then went on to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine completing four years of study to earn her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree. During her twelve month internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in Toronto, she developed her skills as a medical practitioner by providing primary health care to its patients. She has also had the opportunity to work as an intern at the Sherbourne Health Centre in downtown Toronto which specializes in HIV integrative medicine. She has been involved with global health initiatives such as Natural Doctors International where she volunteered as a brigade member in Ometepe, Nicaragua in 2014. She enjoys treating a wide range of patients in all stages of health through a holistic approach focusing on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. She takes the time to listen to every patient, fully understand complex issues, identify underlying causes of illness, and gain a true understanding of the whole person. She has a special interest in family medicine and is passionate about health education and preventative medicine. During her down time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading suspense novels, yoga and meditation, and experimenting with new recipes.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Naturopathic Medicine has been around for centuries and uses an alternative form of treatment that focuses on finding the real cause of symptoms and then treating them naturally. Instead of using powerful prescription drugs that often only mask the symptoms, our Mississauga Naturopath Doctor, Dr. Mahmood uses a variety of tools and remedies to treat most common conditions and illnesses. She has been trained in homeopathy, nutrition and physical and botanic medicine. Mississauga naturopathic treatment can either be used as a complementary treatment along with traditional medicine or can be used effectively on its own. Our Naturopath in Mississauga can work with any of your healthcare professionals to provide you with progressive and full-balanced treatment. If you’re not sure whether physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy or naturopathic medicine can help, we welcome you to book a “Free Case Consultation”. You’ll receive a free 15 minute appointment in which you can discuss your case with the expert. They will ask you questions and do some basic testing to get an idea of what your problem is. They will then present you with their initial diagnosis and give you a basic idea of what your problem is and whether it’s worth it for you to book a full Comprehensive Patient Assessment or they will make alternative suggestions.
