What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Park Sports Physical Therapy and Hand Therapy is a member of Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network and NYU Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Network for Hand Therapy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We address a specific problem in the context of overall conditioning and fitness. Our objective is to develop a deeper understanding of each client's individual needs and to work together towards achieving the set goals.
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
At Park Sport Physical Therapy we have Certified Orthopedic and Hand Specialists. In order for a physical therapist to become board certified Orthopedic specialist (OCS) he or she must acquire several years of specialty area experience and pass a rigorous examination. Less than 10% of physical therapists nationwide achieve this distinction. Presently, there are only 10 Certified Orthopedic Specialists in Brooklyn. Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) also have to pass a board examination as well as have 5 years of experience treating hand related injuries.
