Biography

My interest in physical therapy started when I was in college. I never wanted to sit at a desk all day, I love meeting new people, and I have a strong desire to help others. With physical therapy, I am able to accomplish all of that. As a physical therapist, I have the opportunity to relieve pain, but more importantly, restore a patient's function and improve their way of living. No two people move exactly the same. Therefore, my treatment approach is individualized and multi-faceted. My treatment includes hands on manual techniques, specific exercises targeted to improve muscle imbalance, and in-depth patient education. It is critical that the therapist and patient work together. The more knowledgeable the patient is in terms of diagnosis and treatment, the better the outcome. I have treated patients in all phases of recovery, from inpatient hospital to home care, but my most experienced setting is outpatient orthopedics. In order to expand on my experiences and grow as a physical therapist, I am constantly seeking opportunities to learn through continuing education. Through all this, my goal is to enable you to live the life you want. ##Bachelor of Science: Kinesiology, Penn State University, Philadelphia, PA 2007 ##Doctor of Physical Therapy: Temple University, Philadelphia, PA 2010

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating post-op patients. Surgery can really debilitate a patient and significantly impact a patient’s level of function. When that is taken away from them, patients find it hard to believe they will ever get back to the way they were before surgery. As their condition improves and they get back towards their prior level of function, I love seeing a patient’s attitude change and their sense of hope return. It is truly a rewarding part of my job.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of my individualized treatment approach – In PT, it is very easy to get stuck in a routine and just treat the diagnosis and not treat the individual patient. In my approach, I use the diagnosis as just a guide and instead I treat the whole patient. Each patient has an individualized plan of care which helps me build a good rapport with each patient.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Post Op Treatment, Joint/Muscular pain/strain, and Balance and Gait deficits

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Compassionate , Caring and Professional
