Biography

Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Albany, where he studied human biology. Following his undergraduate education, Rob received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University, where he studied for an additional 3 years. He has since had the opportunity to give back to the Stony Brook PT program as he also focuses his attention on education as an esteemed faculty member. After completion of the Doctorate program he has concentrated his focus on orthopedic physical therapy. He specializes in treatment of orthopedic and post surgical conditions and has a true passion for sports related injuries. Rob also has extensive experience working with various balance and vestibular disorders including positional vertigo, Meniere's disease, post concussion syndrome and more. Rob aspires to become a Certified Functional Manual Therapist as he progresses forward with more advanced coursework through the Institute of Physical Art. Robert is also an avid runner who has now completed three full marathons with his eyes set on many more. With this passion comes an extensive knowledge base when treating running based injuries and analyzing runner's strides. Very recently Rob Mosca became the owner of North Island Physical Therapy and is looking forward to establishing wellness trends within the community.
