Biography

Physiotherapist Jennifer Denys is happy to have landed firmly at ellephysio – a clinic that shares her commitment to quality care and her belief in the healing power of the body. Jen has been a physiotherapist since 2003. She holds a Master of Science from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University in British Columbia, along with several awards for academic achievement and citizenship. She also graduated from McMaster’s Contemporary Acupuncture program in 2008 and did her advanced training in 2012. Along with her work at ellephysio, Jen continues to treat the most elite dancers in the country at Canada’s National Ballet School. Since 2005, she has been working with the artistic staff, not only to treat injury, but also to prevent injury and optimize the dancers’ potential. This environment of excellence has given Jen an even richer understanding of the human body and she has been longing to bring that expertise to the wider community – to anyone looking for greater physical well-being. Jen loves discovering the root of the problem and helping people make the progress that has otherwise felt elusive. She is especially gifted at helping clients understand how they contribute to their own healing and giving them the confidence to take helpful actions on their own.
