Lauren has been a physiotherapist with Back on Track since 2008. She attended Acadia University for a Bachelor of Science in Biology before going on to complete her Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Lauren has begun to work on completing her manual therapy from the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has also has a special interest in acupuncture and is certified to perform traditional Chinese acupuncture as well as dry needling. Dry needling is a type of acupuncture used to reduce tension and trigger points in muscles and can be effective in treating a variety of conditions. Lauren has a vested interest in athletics. As an avid runner, who recently completed her first ever marathon, she has a great deal of knowledge and experience with physical activity and its inherent risks and rewards. Lauren prides herself in her ability to treat sports related injuries and has treated some of Ottawa's finest runners/triathletes.
