Sophie is a bilingual physiotherapist who emphasizes evidence-based practices. As a self-described “body detective,” she treats the body as a whole to provide relief to specific problem areas, and aims to provide each client with the tools to heal or cope with their ailment. As a former research assistant with a Master’s degree in microbiology, she was drawn to physiotherapy because of its marriage of physical manipulation with intellectual thinking. She found that her sensitivity has allowed her to grow into an intuitive physiotherapist. Working at Nathalie Chartier Physiotherapie has allowed Sophie to provide personalized treatment to her clients. She cares for every client differently, even those with the same diagnosis, based on their specific needs. She is an intermediate level myofascial therapist, as well as a level 1 Manual, Pelvic and Acupuncture therapist. Sophie also has certifications in movement therapy, TMJ and vestibular treatments.
