Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
The quality that makes me stand out the most is that I am committed to patient-centered care and an evidence-based practice. What this means is that each patient will be treated individually based on their goals and presentation with effective treatments based off of the highest level of research. I also have a wealth of experience in the fields of physiotherapy, rehabilitation, kinesiology, athletic training, personal training, and exercise management.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
The first treatment that I focus on is education: the more a patient understands the reasons behind their condition and the methodology behind their treatment, the more they are able to self-manage at home and prevent future episodes. The second treatment that I focus on is exercise: exercise has been consistently shown in the research to be a vital component of any rehabilitation program due to its active and pain-relieving nature. Exercise is also the most important component of a treatment plan because it fixes the root cause of the problem to provide long-term relief. The third treatment that I focus on is manual therapy: hands-on techniques such as soft tissue mobilization, soft tissue release, and deep tissue massage not only provide pain-relief but also improves mobility.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud of continually building excellent rapport with patients and providing the highest quality of care. I am also proud of my educational and practice background because I know that without my past experiences, I would not be the therapist I am today.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating all cases from all populations. Whether you are in long-term pain or just recently injured yourself, I have the experience and the skillset to provide everyone with the highest level of care. Coming from a kinesiology and sports background, I also have a special interesting in treating those with a sports injury, training injury, or providing primary prevention education for those wishing to start a new sport, train, or weight-lift.
