Haider earned his Masters of Physiotherapy Studies in beautiful Brisbane, Australia from the University of Queensland. Prior to that, he graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. While Haider has experience in a variety of settings, his main areas of interest are musculoskeletal and sport physiotherapy. Haider believes in a thorough and comprehensive assessment of his patients presentation. He then works collaboratively with the patient to provide a treatment plan to help achieve their goals. Treatment includes a combination of manual therapy such as joint mobilizations and soft tissue release in addition to individualized therapeutic exercises as well as advice and education to empower the patient in their own rehabilitation. Along with his clinical experience, Haider enjoys staying involved in sport and has served as a Team Physiotherapist for a Queensland Premier Rugby team and has also provided coverage for various other sports including basketball and soccer. In his quest to provide his patients with the best possible care, Haider intends to continue his professional development by taking various courses, including manual therapy and acupuncture. Haider enjoys staying active in his spare time by participating in several sports such as basketball and softball. He has also recently got into learning boxing and Muay Thai.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I provide a multi-dimensional approach to rehabilitating my patients. I understand and appreciate the fact that no two individuals are the same and therefore, I ensure that all patients receive an individualized treatment based on their presentation and goals.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
Treatments which I specialize in include manual therapy such as joint mobilizations and soft tissue release, individualized exercise prescription, and patient advice and education to empower the patient in their own rehab.
What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud of the fact that patients genuinely benefit from the time that we spend together. For me, it's not about providing the patient with short-term pain relief. The most rewarding part is when patients experience relief that is long lasting and they become adequately equipped to self-manage their own condition.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating sport or physical activity related cases because there are many different variables which need to be considered with these injuries. Whether the case is acute or chronic, an accurate assessment and diagnosis and then progressively improving the patient's function to allow them to withstand the demands of their sport or activity safely is always a challenge that I am ready for.
