Jaswinder graduated from University of Western Ontario in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She also obtained a Masters in Manipulative Therapy from Curtin University in 2008. She has been working as a registered physiotherapist in private out-patient orthopaedic clinics for the past 15 years. Jaswinder has taken numerous post graduate courses in a variety of areas including TMJ rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitatioin, acupuncture and manual therapy. She is in a good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (CAMT). She is also involved in conducting preparatory courses for students who are undertaking the physiotherapy competency licensing examination. Jaswinders vision is to bring together a team of passionate clinicians who will genuinely take good care of their patients and who have the highest level of academic and post-graduate training. She has created a modern facility with a relaxed and professional atmosphere to provide the best quality of patient care.

What are you proud of in your practice?
I am proud of having other health professionals delivering exceptional care under one roof. I am honored to work collaboratively with registered massage therapists, chiropractors, a naturopath, pedorthist and physiotherapy assistants. We work together as a great team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care at all times. I am also proud of being able to provide variety of pain relieving modalities including: ultrasound, laser therapy, TENS, traction, shock wave therapy and acupuncture. I also take pride in that New Age Physio has access to direct billing for most insurance companies so patients don’t have to pay upfront for the services rendered.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating all types of injuries, whether they are acute or chronic pain, sports related, WSIB, MVA or repetitive sprains/strains. I especially enjoy treating pelvic floor dysfunctions in women and men because they are challenging and I help improve their quality of life. I also take pride in treating TMJ dysfunctions because I work with a great health team of dentists, orthodontists and oral surgeons to deliver specialized treatments for TMJ pain.
