Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I truly enjoy taking the time to get to know my clients and understanding their injury and/or dysfunction. I always search for and treat the root cause instead of treating the symptoms only, as this can be a band-aid solution, which can lead to issues down the road. This approach allows me to ensure my treatment plan is individualized, clinically appropriate, and adaptable to each clients' lifestyle. This leads to improved compliance, continual progression, and timely positive outcomes. Additionally, I am not afraid to ask questions and consult with colleagues when faced with a challenging or complex case. I appreciate and understand that I cannot know everything and take those shortcomings as an opportunity to learn, provide clients with better care and outcomes, and be better equipped to deal with similar issues that arise in future cases. Knowing when to ask for assistance instead of plateauing or not progressing with a client is one of my strengths. I appreciate you are investing time, money, and your trust in my knowledge and skill and I intend to ensure you receive the very best care possible.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

1. Combining manual therapy with neural mobilization 2. Anatomically-based acupuncture 3. Comprehensive exercise prescription

What are you proud of in your practice?

My ability to continually ensure that my clients' well-being is always at the forefront of my treatment plans. I truly go above and beyond for my clients. My passion for problem solving, helping people, and observing improvements that occur within sessions and over time allows me to do this naturally. My ability to balance academia, clinical practice, and spending time with family and friends. Have a work/life/school balance has made me a well-rounded clinician and has taught me to dedicate my time wisely in order to be successful, relaxed, and happy.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

- Radiculopathy in the upper extremity (shoulder, arm, forearm, and hand). I find these cases are typically multi-factorial and I enjoy putting the anatomical pieces of the puzzle together in order to completely resolve the root cause and alleviate all symptoms. - Knee injuries of any kind. I enjoy educating clients on the mechanics of the knee and how intricately related the knee is to low back, hip, and foot. I also enjoy creating individualized exercise programs incorporating a lot of glut exercises and variations of lunging to improve everyday function. - Headaches. Headaches significantly impact quality of life and many people don't realize that depending on the source of the headache, physiotherapists can be a huge help in management and resolution. Headaches are also typically multifactorial and I enjoy teasing the different factors out and providing education, manual, and exercise strategies to alleviate headaches and improve quality of life. I find reducing headache intensity and/or frequency very rewarding as it usually results in a massive positive improvement in overall well-being.
