Leivin has a devoted and ongoing interest in sports, manual therapy, neuro-functional acupuncture, pain science, and current research in these areas. Because of his background and experience as an athlete and coach, he actively integrates his knowledge to provide the most evidence-informed rehabilitation tailored to every individual's goals. Leivin is a graduate of Queen's University with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy 2014. Prior, he also received a Bachelor of Science with honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. He has also completed several additional courses at the post-graduate level including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University. He is also in the process of pursuing his advanced manual therapy training through the Canadian Physiotherapy Associations Orthopaedic Division. Leivin is an elite athlete and has represented Team Canada in many international competitions such as the Pan American Games in Toronto of 2015, North American Cup, Pan American Karate Championship, and the World Karate Championship. He captured gold in 2006 and became the Jr. Pan American Champion in Curacao, and Netherlands Antilles. Leivin is a medical committee member of Karate Canada and is also a NCCP Competition Development certified coach in karate.

I enjoy applying my knowledge and unique experiences as an elite athlete and coach to tackle challenges and solve them. I am very open-minded which allows me to take multiple approaches and use different perspectives to facilitate achievement and success with my patient's health goals.

I have a special interest in treating a variety of challenging orthopaedic cases because it encompassess many conditions that are prevalent.
