Biography

Nadir (pronounced 'Nather') completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McGill University and went on to complete his Physical Therapy training at the University of Toronto. His post-graduate training has focused on functional movement assessment, which enables Nadir to effectively determine the root cause of injury. Nadir has also completed the Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling Certification, which is his secret weapon against pain. In his practice, Nadir uses an evidence based approach to apply orthopaedic manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and corrective techniques. He enjoys working collaboratively with other health care professionals and has worked extensively with chiropractors, sports medicine specialists, and orthopaedic specialists. In his free time, Nadir enjoys flying - he has been a certified pilot since 2004. He has also spent his summers working for Canadian Coast Guard's Inshore Rescue Boat Program.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am an Orthopedic Registered Physical Therapist with extensive experience in manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, and exercises. I enjoy working with an athletic population from weekend warriors who want to get back to their tennis game to competitive powerlifters trying to get back to squatting and deadlifting again. As part of an integrated team, our clinic offers direct billing, private treatment rooms, and convenient appointment times to best suit your needs.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I specialize in a variety of treatments, however my top three are trigger point release/dry needling, manual stretching, and joint mobilization. I have worked closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine doctors, and many other health care professionals to deliver the cutting edge in rehabilitative medicine.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of helping clients get back to the activities they enjoy whether that be gardening, walking, running, or crossfit. It is a great feeling watching someone who comes in with back or knee pain be able to run again or squat again. It also makes me smile when I get messages from clients telling me that they have been able to complete that 5K that they had dreamed of doing, or getting a new personal best in the gym.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I am very passionate about treating each client specific to their needs, and I want to create a positive change with each treatment. I have gained professional experience with chronic and persistent pain, mobility restrictions, taping techniques, orthopedic manual therapy, and trigger point therapy. I enjoy clients anywhere from rehabilitation from an ankle sprain to figuring out that stubborn case of back pain that hasn't gone away in years.
