Simo received his Masters of Physical Therapy Degree from D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York in 2008 after completing his Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2004. After graduation, Simo began practicing at a specialized outpatient orthopaedic practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado, receiving numerous hours of clinical mentorship with FCAMPT and FAAOMPT level therapists. In addition to being in full time clinical practice, Simo was also acting clinical director for his Colorado Springs clinic. In 2012, Simo relocated back to Toronto and joined the multidisciplinary care team at Infinity Health Centre. Simo has been instrumental in developing and maintaining core relationships with many large corporations within downtown Toronto while providing best practice principles to their employees. By specializing in hands on manual therapy (joint mobilization/manipulation, trigger point dry needling/IMS, myofascial release techniques, neuro-reducation and mobilizations) and coupling those techniques with exercise prescription and patient education, Simo ensures that all of his patients maximize their level of recovery and function. Moreover, Simo is very proud to be one of the few practitioners within downtown Toronto to offer IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) or Trigger Point Dry Needling. Research has found this specialized technique, especially when combined with other soft tissue therapies, to be extremely effective in restoring optimal joint and muscle tension/range of motion. Outside of the clinic, Simo leads a very active and healthy lifestyle - Simo's day often begins with a 1h strength and conditioning program before arriving at Infinity Health Centre each morning. Simo also enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, as well as family and friends.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of my ability to provide excellent evidence based manual therapy with a strong bed side manner to enable an empathetic environment to individualized patient care. I have been able to further my manual therapy training by adding intramuscular stimulation into my practice as well as extensive coursework with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).
