Victoria is a 2012 McGill University graduate with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She has been working in a private orthopaedic setting since 2012 and has worked with a variety of patients, including runners, dancers and acrobats. Running being of personal interest to her, she is certified in running assessments and provides interventions to help prevent running injuries and improve performance. Victoria is truly passionate about physiotherapy, and therefore devotes a lot of time to continuing education. She has taken courses in manual therapy, running injury prevention, kinesiotaping (K-tape), myofascial mobilization, functional movement screening (SFMA) and movement systems impairment syndromes. She is currently working towards the Intermediate level of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy fellowship. She enjoys teaching as much as she does learning, so she has supervised a few McGill University students in a clinical setting, as well as co-facilitated orthopeadic physiotherapy labs at McGill University as a teacher’s assistant. Victoria believes that successful rehabilitation begins with taking the time to educate her patients about their condition, lifestyle habits, and treatment plan, so that they can play an active role in their recovery and feel in control of their progress. She uses a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, soft tissue mobilizations, exercise prescription, and taping to help her patients achieve their specific and meaningful goals. When she’s not working at the clinic or studying, she stays active by training for half-marathons, testing out new routes at the rock climbing gym, and searching for some namaste on her yoga mat. This Montreal-born foodie likes to spend her weekends checking out Toronto’s best new restaurants, independent cafés and trendy bars with friends & family when she’s not baking up a storm in her own kitchen.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am passionate about physiotherapy, and I believe a physiotherapist’s best tool is education. That’s why I take the time to educate my patients about their condition and lifestyle habits to ensure they understand what the problematics are so they can be an active participant in their own rehabilitation. From there, I build a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual patient and their specific goals, so they leave feeling empowered and in control of their progress.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Manual therapy Soft tissue mobilizations Exercise prescription

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud to know that my patients feel empowered in their own rehabilitation, and that I can help them achieve their goals. Being a part of that process is incredibly gratifying.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

No two cases are ever the same, which already keeps my work interesting. I devote a lot of time to continuing education to help sharpen my clinical reasoning skills, so I love a good challenge. I also specialize in running evaluations and enjoy helping runners prevent running injuries and improve their performance.
