Louise graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. She brings a multitude of skills to her practice: IMS, Manipulation, Soft Tissue Release, Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral Therapy, Rehabilitation Exercises, Reiki, Neurology and Ergonomics. Louise is keen to stay abreast of the latest skills since graduating over 15 years ago; she is a certified Gunn IMS practitioner (CGIMS) and a Resident of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (RCAMT). Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a useful tool using sterile acupuncture needles to treat chronic pain and to effectively address muscle and nerve conditions. Louise values hands-on treatment by using specific assessments to identify the cause of pain/injury and by providing education and treatment to help speed your recovery. Pre-natal and post-natal care is a special interest area that Louise enjoys treating, particularly with the education and management of Diastasis Recti. She also has an avid interest in working with athletes. Louise has worked with England’s National Rowing and Rugby teams as well as assisted the Medical Teams for the Vancouver Sun Run and Vancouver Marathon. Louise has run many marathons and half marathons and enjoys speaking at local running clinics, skiing, hiking, yoga and commuting by bicycle. Louise is bilingual and can offer all her physiotherapy services in French. Bienvenue aux clients Francophones.
