Róisín studied and graduated from University College of Dublin, Ireland, earning an honors Bachelor of Science degree in physiotherapy. While studying, she gained a wide range of experience in all areas of physiotherapy, in both hospital and private settings. Before coming to Canada, Róisín worked in sports injury private clinics for 2 years in Dublin, Ireland. She has a keen interest in sport and played on the Irish senior women's field hockey team for 4 years, earning over 70 caps. She has worked extensively with Irish field hockey, rugby and soccer teams in training, core conditioning, and competition, working at both injury prevention and recovery. She has a keen interest in manual therapy and intends to pursue her orthopedic levels. Róisín has been working in occupational rehabilitation since October 2012, treating acute and chronic conditions, educating clients about their conditions, and assisting them with returning to work. She keeps up to date with the most recent advances in clinical sports medicine by regularly attending conferences and educational courses. Róisín likes to utilize a multi-modal approach to treatment for successful treatment and recovery.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I have been helping injured workers get back to work for the past 4 years and am very adept in dealing with WorkSafe BC. As well as this I have treated a variety of injuries in hospitals, nursing homes, private practice, and sports settings. I enjoy working one-on-one with clients, setting goals, and listening to their concerns throughout the rehab process as I understand how difficult a process it can be.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I have worked with patients experiencing persistent pain in different areas to understand and manage pain. Active rehabilitation and manual treatment to help people get back to regular activity.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Helping many people return to their previous level of activity at home and work. Developing good working relationships with my clients to help provide optimum care.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all cases and understand the impact an injury can have on all aspects of life.
