What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?

Our practice is unique as it emphasizes non-surgical care in all facets of foot and ankle conditions. Rehabilitation and pain management of “hard to heal” problems are also a major component of the practice. Dr. Diamond has extensive background in sports medicine, podiatric rehabilitation, and medical acupuncture. Dance, pilates, yoga, running and other sports injuries are welcomed, as our doctors’ treatments focus on treating the injury, assisting the individual with preventing recurrence and enhancing performance. Dr. Diamond is also the podiatrist for The Pennsylvania Ballet and many of the Philadelphia dance companies. Senior citizen treatment and prevention programs are a strong point of the office, as well. Mobility and balance enhancement, fall reduction, lower extremity strength training and range of motion programs are offered. These strategies are valuable for patients with arthritis, diabetes, lower extremity weakness and neuropathy. Children are also welcome as we can help to create prevention strategies for conditions such as bunions, “flat feet”, alignment concerns and other genetically inherited conditions. Dr. Diamond offers each patient an individualized treatment protocol formulated for your specific podiatric needs. Our office specializes in a “hands on” approach with very effective rehabilitation techniques such as myofascial release, joint mobilization and sports medicine taping. Additionally, seamlessly blend complementary medicine protocols with Oriental Medicine/Acupuncture, therapeutic exercise, and alternative type injections. As part of all treatment plans, our doctor seamlessly blends non-surgical eastern and western modalities. Our office offers the highest tech diagnostic tools in the industry including sophisticated computer diagnostic gait, standing and alignment evaluations, a state of the art digital X-ray system and high resolution diagnostic ultrasound. Rehabilitation of the lower extremity incorporates strength training, range of motion exercises, and balance training which complement other non-surgical treatment techniques in order to help heal and stabilize the problem. Dr. Diamond is an adjunct professor at The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Diamond is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.
