What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Openness and connection is integral to growth. I work to create a safe and supportive space to address your goals through the exploration of thoughts and feelings. While my approach is generally relational in nature, exploring patterns in relationships in hope of creating space for change, I draw from various theoretical orientations and approaches to best fit your needs. I value open collaboration with my patients to meet their treatment goals and welcome input on the therapeutic process. I hold a master's and doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and have worked in college counseling centers, hospitals, and residential treatment facilities. My most recent appointment was as the Assistant Director of Group Psychotherapy in the Counseling Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In these settings, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and my approach to therapy is multiculturally informed. My interests include developmental concerns, relationship conflict, gender and sexuality, specifically men and masculinity, depression and anxiety, and group therapy.
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
I feel privileged to be a psychologist and my therapeutic style reflects this appreciation. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as psychological assessment. I am also available for consultation, supervision, and workshops on a range of topics.
