Dr. Dashtban is a licensed clinical health psychologist. She has been in private practice since 2008 serving the communities in Mt. View, Fremont and Santa Cruz. She is a certified T.E.A.M trainer which enables her to not only bring the most up to date effective psychotherapy techniques for the treatment of her patients, but it also allows her to train other clinicians around the world and locally in using this highly effective technique.
What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Advanced concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. Issues related to a complicated health problems such as chronic pain, infertility challenges, diabetes, obesity, food addictions. Relationship issues, work related struggles, alcohol and substance abuse. Trauma and post traumatic stress disorder, specific phobias, social anxiety are among the issues that are treated.
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
We use the T.E.A.M model, which is based on the most advanced techniques of psychotherapy out of Stanford University, with Dr. David Burns being the founder of the model. The model brings specific testing at each session to keep close tap on the progress you make and on the therapeutic relationship. It brings specific empathy so that you'd feel heard, understood, and know that your therapist appreciates your struggles. There is then special considerations for emotional and or logistical barriers against making the desired changes and those barriers are addressed and resolved. Lastly there are more than 50 methods to help alleviate your symptoms.
