In terms of approach, I tailor treatment to meet individual needs. In addition to exploring how past experiences and current circumstances contribute to difficulties, I draw heavily on evidence-based treatments that research has found to be effective. Overall, I believe in holistic approaches to psychological health and encourage attention to physical, nutritional, environmental (work or home satisfaction), and relationship health along with therapy. Ultimately, my goal is to help you achieve lasting changes and a fuller life.
What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
I genuinely enjoy being able to help individuals achieve real and observable changes in their lives. Through my work I help people facing a wide a variety of difficulties at all levels of severity to achieve more happy, productive, and fulfilling lives. While I enjoy working with all individuals, I also have specialized experience in counseling active and veteran military service members, trauma survivors, and women. Some of my other specialty areas include couples consulting and, in individual meetings, treating anxiety disorders, depression, mood difficulties, and difficult life transitions.
