Rolfing Structural Integration realigned my structure by releasing the fascia strains and patterns my body had accumulated along life’s path. The experience was so profound that I left my job and headed to Boulder Colorado to become a Rolfer™ and help others regain their active lifestyle as I had. I attended the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado where I became a Certified Rolfer™ of Structural Integration in 2005. I discovered that the initial training was just the beginning. It opened the door to unlimited resources and sent me on a path to expanding my knowledge with trainings in Cranial Sacral Therapy,Visceral Manipulation and a year and a half long apprenticeship with a Certified Rolfer/Canadian Osteopath/Barry Method Instructor. I use all of these tools to resolve pain and discomfort. The causes are varied and as different as each individual—car accidents, surgeries, sports injuries, falls, chronic pain, child birth traumas, etc. It’s very encouraging to receive feedback from clients that were facing surgical procedures for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome stating that their symptoms were gone and they no longer need surgery—this is why I love doing this work! Certified Rolfer™, LMP, LAMP, NCBTMB LMP #MA00021558 LMP = Licensed Massage Practitioner LAMP= Large Animal Massage Practitioner NCBTMB= National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Body Work Other Certifications: Visceral Manipulation 1, 2, 3 CranioSacral Therapy
What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Rolfing Structural Integration releases patterns of strain in the body that cause pain and discomfort throughout the body. From head trauma to problems with back, shoulder, knees, feet, hips, ankles, wrists and elbows. It’s always great to see people soon after an injury for the quickest recovery but I also specialize in old injury trauma.
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
Rolfing Structural Integration along with Visceral Therapy and other skills has allowed me to developed a unique approach to releasing deep patterns of strain in the head and entire body. My work has helped many people move beyond injury and return to doing the things they love to do, enjoying life!
