Dinah Dela Rosa
I graduated from Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy. Through my years of experience in the restaurant industry, my enthusiasm, communication and interpersonal skills have easily translated into massage therapy. The key to a strong and rewarding professional relationship requires an open dialogue and receptive to change. I highly encourage and practise this with each client.
Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I believe in the empowerment of the client for their own well being. I provide a positive environment for the client by giving them the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback during our intake and assessments. This also allows me to create and execute a safe and effective treatment. Not only do I focus on pain relief but also maintenance and self care. After the treatment, I prescribe and demonstrate exercises and/or stretches, as well as postural education. By doing so, it further provides the client with control of their own health.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
Treatments I specialize in are Relaxation, Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Release.
What are you proud of in your practice?
Treating the general public, I have met many individuals with different conditions. I am proud to say that I have been able to provide relief and comfort to those individuals by consistently following a client-centered approach. It is the client who feels where the pain is, the direction of their pain, what makes it better and worse for them, so I ensure that my treatments cater to their specific needs. My proudest moment so far has been a client who was experiencing 3-4 tension headaches or migraines a week came to see me for the first time. When I saw her 2 weeks later, she had only experienced 1 migraine. During her initial treatment with me, I explained to her the difference between tension headaches and migraines. I recommended and demonstrated stretches of her neck and shoulder musculature daily as well as heat and cold application, depending on which she was experiencing.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating all different types of individuals, as each case and client is unique. I have been fortunate enough to have encountered and treated different types of conditions. I value my experience in treating diverse cases as each individual case has contributed to my current expertise and knowledge of various techniques and treatments.
