Dominique has always been involved in health and fitness all her life. Starting at a young age, her first passion was downhill skiing and basketball. Later on, she started strength training and spending more time in the gym to keep active. Dominique went on to study Kinesiology at the University of Ottawa and became more and more fascinated by soft tissue health, which lead her to take Fascial Stretch Therapy and then study in Massage Therapy and NeuroSomatic Therapy. Fast forward to today, Dominique now works with a variety of patients of all walks of life. She enjoys working with patients that are looking to optimize their overall health so that they keep up with their daily activities and ambitious goals, whether that be a working up to a new PR at the gym, or being able to go through the day pain-free.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Dominique’s approach to treatments is very grounded and holistic, addressing not only symptoms, but also looking at the bigger picture to find out why such symptoms are felt and correcting any postural and muscular imbalances found throughout the treatment and assessment. Dominique believes in having her patients be as involved as possible with the treatment plan. Education is a key component to her sessions and for long term results for her patients; she explains the why behind the approach of the treatment, what we are trying to achieve, etc. She also includes a lot of correctional and mobility exercises with her patients that they can also take home with them and learn how to better take care of their body day to day.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Dominique’s background in sports and fitness along with her therapy training has given her a number of tools and modalities to best assess and treat her patients and find long term benefits in their wellbeing. Dominique specializes in: Postural and muscular imbalances causing chronic pain Sport performance, especially within the world of bodybuilding Recovery and relaxation

What are you proud of in your practice?

Dominique’s holistic and global approach to her treatment has allowed her to work with patients living with chronic pain and find relief. Showing people that living with chronic pain does not have to be their new “normal” state has been very rewarding.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Dominique enjoys working with patients that are highly motivated in improving their health and optimizing their overall wellbeing. She enjoys being able to take part in her patients journey to a better version of themselves and see them excel in their endeavours.

I can understand that RMTs have their own technique. It was my initial visit satisfied but feel like 1 hour not long enough. Anyway, the only negative comment based on my own preference the room is too bright and the musical background.
