Biography

Maia C. King is a New York State licensed, American Speech and Hearing Association accredited and Nationally recognized as a National Stroke Association Professional Member, National Aphasia Affiliate, New York State Speech Language Hearing Association Member with a recent publication of her article "Individualizing Goals in a Group Setting". Maia has many years as a medical SLP on the supervisory level and brings forth the necessary clinical background to meet the needs of a wife variety communication disorders in addition to a skilled public speaker.

I am a private practice that revolves around patient care; which is why I choose to provide home visits and tele-health as an option for the medically fragile or busy family!

My practice is unique because I have extensive training as a medical SLP with pediatrics through the geriatric population! My experience has provided me with opportunity to treat medical and non medical speech therapy services!

"I am very passionate about treating each client specific to their needs, and strive to make a positive impact with each speech therapy session. I have gained professional experience with speech, voice, swallowing, feeding, receptive and expressive language delays, aphasia, cognitive linguistic deficits, woking with early intervention, and private consulting for corporations, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Acute Care among the brain injured / neurologically disordered client.
