Dr. Carol A. Karafotias

Dr. Karafotias is a native Atlantan and graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree and with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. She received the annual award given to only one graduating senior at Emory University by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for outstanding achievements in undergraduate study and clinical training in this specialized area of dental education. She is a career-long member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. Helping patients improve their self-confidence and creating beautiful smiles makes Dr. Karafotias extremely happy, and she takes pride in her work. She truly appreciates the fact that her patients place their trust in her professional opinion and years of clinical experience; they continue to refer their friends and family to the practice. Dr. Karafotias has two children, Michael and Lesa, who both live in the Atlanta area. She enjoys an active lifestyle that includes exercise, running, hiking, and camping. Her gift of creativity and thinking outside the box shines in her joy for puzzles, and this gift in turn serves as a plus in dentistry to create a winning smile for her patients.
