Reviewed on March 11th, 2020 • Verified patientI walked in after recently having Wisdom teeth removed. My old dentist had moved his practice and this location was most convenient. So on my first visit, the hygienist (Ida was her name I think) indicated that there might be an issue where the surgery was done. After the cleaning, the Dentist Andrew came in and after about 10 mins of examining he advised me to contact the surgeon immediately as he noticed there was an issue with the healing. He prescribed me antibiotics just as a precaution because he feared infection. I contacted the surgeon that did the job (whom I saw just days before) and the surgeon suddenly agreed with what Andrew had seen. Thanks to Andrew's advice I was able to catch this before it became a real issue. Surgeons clearly don't know it all as they see dozens of patients a day, but Andrew was able to identify the problem and give real advice with urgency. The doctor took photographs of all my teeth, and was able to show me the overall positive condition of my teeth and, as well, the teeth that needed support. I left knowing I now had a thorough grasp of the shoring up that was needed immediately and what could wait a little while. I ignored one cavity a few years back, that could have been easily fixed then, but because I left it...I then needed a crown. Stay on top of the changing condition of any teeth! A simple filling will always be better than an extraction, or an expensive crown. Dr Lamantia put my fears to rest and was able to save the tooth and build it back up. I am very nervous when it comes to dental procedures and Dr Lamantia was very friendly and thoughtful. I hadn't seen a dentist in 4 years because of financial stress, and my teeth were in serious trouble. Dr. Park and her efficient assistants were able to do thorough assessment in less than an hour, and map out a treatment plan for me. The hygienist was also able to determine that some of my prescriptions were causing dry mouth, which was speeding up the rate of tooth damage and decay. She was then able to point out a number of remedies to help prevent this problem from progressing.
