Dr. Cody Wilfinger

This location was close to my home and was convenient to get to. Dr. Wilfinger offered to help smooth my teeth after the cleaning and the staff provided helpful information about mouth guards although I wasn't able to afford the one they offered in house due to insurance coverage.

The only part that was difficult about this office was its location. There is no sign out front so you must read all the directions in the address. The building is basically unmarked except for the address number, but the office is right upstairs. I was greeted by friendly people and served well by experienced hygienists. Renata was in charge of cleaning my teeth and she scolded me playfully for needing to work on my flossing, which was true! Dr. Wilfinger was extraordinarily warm and knowledgeable, focusing on preventative care and informing me of all my options before letting me decide for myself. Highly recommend this little office even though it might be out of the way!

Got a regular checkup/cleaning. They were very flexible with me since I had a work schedule conflict and let me split my appointment into two sessions.

The whole office staff was wonderful—from receptionist to hygienist and Dr. Cody. Their advice was based on what’s best for me, not on how much money they’ll make—which is refreshing and so appreciated! The cleaning was very thorough and it’s the first dentist I’ve went to that did an oral cancer screening—great experience all around!

Professional and personable. They didn't even judge me too much for going more than a year since my last cleaning! I did get lectured a bit for my flossing habits...or lack of... :)

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Cody's office. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, patient, and clear about what I could expect from the visit. It had been about 4 years since my last cleaning and I felt at ease right away.

Visiting Dr. Cody and the rest of the crew at Compass Dental was a great experience. Everyone is friendly and personable. I was told what was happening and why every step of the way. If there was anything wrong or something I should be doing with my oral hygiene, they would give friendly advice without sounding condescending. They were very considerate and made sure I was comfortable during the entire checkup. Overall, I was very happy with this practice and I will definitely be returning for future dental work.

It’s been a long time since I last saw a dentist, so I was especially nervous and a little embarrassed. Renata and Dr Wilfinger were understanding, made sure to explain everything they were going to do before they did it, and consistently checked in with me to see how I was doing. I never felt judged, instead they were simply direct with me about what issues I’ve developed and laid out an achievable plan to get me back where I need to be. The rest of the office staff were friendly and helpful as well. I definitely recommend Compass Dental of Lincoln Square.

I hadn't been to a dentist in almost 10 years, and was a little worried about the damage I had done to my teeth over that time, but Renata and Dr. Wilfinger were great! They made sure I was comfortable, and were straightforward about how my teeth/gums were doing without making me feel bad, and let me know exactly what we were going to do to get me back to a better state. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Cody and his team were great from start to finish! His team explained each step of the examination and cleaning and made sure I understood before continuing. Everyone was kind and timely. Dr. Cody is easy to talk to, and made an effort to connect. This was the most thorough and courteous dental cleanings I have had. I will continue to see Dr. Cody and his team at Compass Dental, and I would recommend anyone to go. Cheers!

I would normally wait until a second appointment to really know if I could have a valuable opinion on any type of doctor's visit, but after a truly great first appointment and even receiving a thank you card in the mail, I can say I am so grateful to Dr. Cody, Renata, and staff at Compass Dental in Lincoln Square. They genuinely listen to you and are extremely friendly. They take great care in explaining what's going on, what you need to do, etc. I've experienced rude dentists, harsh dental techs, and receptionists that do not do their jobs in the course of my dental hygiene lifespan and you can tell that this office is far above the rest in how they treat their patients.

Dr. Cody and Renata were wonderful. Great cleaning and gave me a great action plan.

Dr. Wilfinger and Renata were both great. Renata took the time to go step by step and explain what she was doing and what she was looking for. Dr. Wilfinger listened to all my concerns and questions and took the time to answer them and showed me exactly where he had concerns with certain teeth. Great experience for someone who hasn't been to the dentist in years!

Nice dentist. The dental assistant also checked for mouth cancer which I had never seen being checked before, but necessary.

Everyone was very nice, they made me feel comfortable. I was very nervous and they explained everything that was taking place step by step which helped me to relax..A big thanks to the whole team..😁👍Awesome job!
